has sparked a lot of controversy and debate. In referencing CNN's
article:
What do you think? As the article cites, the cases of underage child-births have been
at high rates in the UK for the last 10 years or so. Americans (especially in the bible belt)
would say that it was due to lack of Christian teachings, or something to that effect.
Do you think it's due to some kind of lack of moral fiber, and if so, what caused it?

I dont know what 'moral fiber' means.
Cody...lol!
I'm not sure what the problem is. Kids have sex. Is the fact you can get pregnant having sex a surprise? And what does moral fiber have to do with anything? That's assuming its "moral" to not have sex until a certain age or until marriage.

It is in an age of inexpensive and easy-to-acquire contraception.
Teen pregnancy is usually a result of bored kids with nothing else to do combined with poor education. Give those kids something to do (sports, volunteering, actually caring about their homework, whatever) and teach them the consequences of unprotected sex and voila, fewer 13-year-old dads.
You can't make teen sex go away, but you can reduce teen pregnancy.
