Christian Nonsense & Starbucks
Global warming, AIDS, teen pregnancy, world hunger and Starbucks! Unreal. Read the story: http://www.startribune.com/nation/18969709.html?location_refer=Golf
I read this story. To be honest, as an art major, this is the kind of thing that makes me extremely frustrated: the lack of historical perspective and refusal to learn about historic tradition and symbols. But, at the end of the day, does any of this matter? no. Like Dustin said, there are tons of subjects that are way more important. What a waste of non-profit resources.
Its amazing how our faith can be wasted on such trite nonsense. Thousands of Children are missing or homeless in Myanmar right now, in China thousands are in need of assistance...DIE STARBUCKS!!! On with the good fight against the paper cup!! ok, I'm done
This from a friend of mine who also lives in Texas: "Well, maybe we should open a Christian version of starbucks-that will help solve the problem. Rather than engaging culture we could just create our own culture and never have to interact with the heathen. Wouldn't that make Jesus happy? :)"
Cody has a B.A. in English, is currently an English Teacher, husband, and voracious reader and thinker, particularly when it comes to Theology and the future of Christianity.
Mari Phillips (D)
Mari has a B.A. in Theater Arts from TCU. She has 7 years of experience in finance and is a future mother. She happens to be married to Dustin Phillips another contributor.
Josh Childs (I)
Josh is completing his B.A. in Graphic Design, operates his owns design firm, and can make a guitar sing!
Dustin Phillips (I)
Dustin has a B.S. in Theology and an M.A. in Communications. He is a husband, Administrator, a "philosopher" of systemic power structures, and most importantly a father.
